People ask many questions: Why is this like this? Why is that like that? Why does this happen? Why does that happen? But the best question of all is, “How can I make the most of this time that I have been given? How can I make the best use of it?”
Great saints and wise men have clearly answered this question, and people listen to it a lot. But, I think they either don’t understand it or are unwilling to accept it. Whatever your questions are, your mind, your brain is what is asking them, they dwell on these questions. But all the answers reside in your heart. In the mind, there are only questions; in the heart, nothing but answers. Your questions will not end until you go within and experience what is inside. They will go on and on.
Just like a room full of darkness—you wouldn’t know what is inside. You wouldn’t understand what is in that room. But as soon as there is light in that room… light doesn’t create anything; it only reveals what is already there—a table, a chair, a glass, or a bed.
Light doesn’t create these things, but if they are there, you can see them. Then you can decide for yourself what you wish to do. Similarly, in life, when there is light, you recognize what is around you. If you are hungry, there is fruit. If you need water, it’s there. And if you want to use these things, you can because there is now light in the room. Before the light, when there was darkness, you had no way of knowing where things were. The lack of this knowing creates unease in human beings. But when clarity emerges, when you begin to know and recognize things, you can decide on your own what you need. You no longer need to wonder, because if you are thirsty, you can see the water.
Likewise, in life, when there is darkness inside, there are thousands of questions: What is this? What is that? Will I go to hell? Will I go to heaven? What will happen to me? We have heard all these concepts. When you were born, you knew nothing about hell or heaven. You learned about them later. And so you began to think, Where will I go? What deeds have I done? Have I made any mistakes? These doubts start to emerge, one after another. But when that light bulb of knowledge begins to glow, there is clarity in life.
It is said, It is said, "Without knowledge, man sleeps in ignorant slumber, just as without salt in the food, there is no taste." The one whose inner light of knowledge is not lit, lives life like they have everything, but still dwells in ignorance. He knows not where he is, nor does he know what’s happening now. Although he’s highly skilled at planning for tomorrow, he has no idea about the present. This mind keeps creating images, photos of how things should be. “How my wife should be, how my family, my children, my friends should be.” It constantly chases these things.
And if you think about it deeply, the root of conflicts lies in these photos we have created in our lives.
So pay attention, and most importantly, live in joy. My greetings to all.
